Android Help ↗iOS — Surge 5 (Experimental V5.59 Guide)
These settings are available for testing. A successful connection on V5.59 has not yet been confirmed.
- Using Safari, open the GTPS CA certificate link below and download the certificate. Depending on the iOS version, a raw .crt download may not appear as an installable profile.
- If iOS recognizes an installable certificate profile, open Settings → General → VPN & Device Management and install it.
- Go to Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings and enable full trust for DeadTopia Local Root CA, only if you understand the trust implications.
- Install Surge 5 from the App Store. Open default.conf → Edit in Text Mode and use the configuration below (back up your old configuration first).
- Save, tap START, fully close Growtopia and try opening it again.

Security warning: This Root CA has broad trust authority on your device. It could be used to validate other HTTPS certificates signed with its private key. The download currently uses HTTP; do not install unless you can independently verify the certificate fingerprint: D2:DD:6D:33:CE:69:9A:5F:30:17:3D:D6:AA:1D:F5:C2:AE:F1:D4:AB:FE:E8:91:6E:44:F6:DF:46:F5:DA:A4:D2. We recommend testing only on a spare device until a safer distribution method is available.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is GTPS an official Growtopia server?
No. GTPS is an unofficial community project and is not affiliated with Ubisoft or Growtopia.
Why isn't the latest version connecting?
Official updates can change login, TLS, and client behavior. Please refer to our Discord announcements for verified compatibility information.
Where can I report a connection issue?
Join our Discord and open a support ticket. Include your platform, client version, and the exact error message without sharing passwords.
Is installing a custom Root CA safe?
Installing a Root CA grants significant trust to the certificate authority and anyone controlling its private key. Only proceed if you understand the risks, and remove it when you no longer need it.
